I have spent 30 years of my life working as a City lawyer including several years as a Partner at Field Fisher. Helping clients, training people and building businesses. Immersing myself in the worlds of law and franchising. Building a reputation.

In all that time, I have made a tangible difference to thousands of people and businesses. People from all walks of life and businesses of all shapes and sizes. Making a positive difference to most. And, in all that time, not one complaint from client or colleague.

But, my life as a solicitor and business owner came to an abrupt end in 2019.  For all my skills and achievements, I had developed some fatal flaws that were exposed as the £10 million business I founded, loved and grew – Cubism Law – began to struggle. I was to make some decisions in a fight for survival that would bring my career to a shameful and dramatic end.  I want to be 100% upfront with you so please read about what happened – my Story - just below.

02 — Approach

After the collapse of my firm, I spent a time in the wilderness searching for answers. And, I found something beyond answers - an inner resilience and a growing sense of hope. A better understanding of myself and a greater desire to use my knowledge, skills and experience to Be the Agent of Change for others. To offer the precise services I had most needed in my darkest hour.

And what did I learn? Simply, that in my heart I yearned to help others find their way. That solving problems was my elixir and pride had been my downfall.

03 — Results

People and businesses come to me for two reasons and in two situations.

The reasons are that they are seeking (1) wise counsel and (2) solutions to difficult problems.

The situations are generally at times of (1) growth or opportunity and/or (2) distress, decline or disappointment. At times, all elements converge.

And why do they come? Simply because I have a proven record of finding a way - achieving great results often in the most trying circumstances.

04 — Experience

I have found that there is no substitute for experience. Knowledge is nothing without application and knowledge purposefully practised through many years of experience leads to a deeper wisdom. And wisdom is that going sense of knowing that comes from experience. So, what has my experience taught me?

That I can be a quick thinker but a slow learner. That wisdom comes from a slower but deeper kind of thinking; a holistic place that is present only in our deepest mind. That in this place solutions come at unexpected times and in unexpected ways.. That, if you have faith and feed and oil the machine, an answer will emerge as if by magic. And, after a while, you learn to expect and accept this way of being..
